The Snapdragon 823 SoC is rumored to be the standard fare on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 6 (or 7). The chip features a faster CPU with the four Kryo cores running at a clock speed of 3GHz as opposed to the 2.2GHz top speed on the Snapdragon 820. Both chipsets support 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
The Snapdragon 823 SoC powered ZenFone 3 Deluxe will hit limited markets in August carrying a Gorilla Glass 4 protected 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, with a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. That works out to a 386ppi pixel density. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of expandable native storage. A 128GB capacity microSD slot is available to those seeking additional storage.
A 23MP Pixelmaster camera is on back with both OIS and EIS (!), PDAF and HDR. The front-facing 8MP camera has a wide angle lens for shooting selfies. The device carries a fingerprint scanner, and a 3000mAh battery keeps the lights on. Quick Charge 3.0 allows for a rapid re-charge of the cell. Android 6.0 is pre-installed with the Zen 3.0 UI running on top.
Color options are Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver and Sand Gold. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is priced at the equivalent of $499.
